Welcome to your
Contacts page.
Regarding harvesting and nasty emails,
I've not had any complaints for some time now. The dreaded "X" remains but
I'll have a think about removing it some time in the future. The
instructions below apply to Microsoft Outlook and not Outlook Express. I can
only suggest manually changing the address in Express.
I do urge you to install good anti-virus
software and not to open any emails with attachments unless you are sure
they are safe.
I have made a
small amendment to the addresses in the list.
This will be in the form of adding an "X" just after the @ sign
You will not be able to transmit an email to that address unless you delete
the X. There are two ways I have of doing this:
1. As soon as you click on a name and the
address opens up in Outlook, you have about three seconds to get your mouse
cursor anywhere on the address line. Then position the cursor just after the
X. Backspace to delete it. If you haven't done this fast enough the address
will become active, shown by it being underlined. You will then have to go
for the second method. Try it, it's fun and will
improve your co-ordination skills immensely.
2. The other method, for the slow-coaches,
is to right click on the email address and chose Properties. In the E-mail
address box delete the X, hit OK and you are in business. You will find two
addresses in your Outlook "To" box. Forget that and transmit your message.
Suggest you try it with Lt. Zulu. If you
try to send directly, you should get the message knocked back. If you
accomplish the above, you should get through and I will be the proud
receiver.
I apologize for the slight inconvenience
but it's only an effort to protect you.
Should you notice some weird additions
near the end of the Contacts list, below, please disregard them, they are
just an experiment on my part.

To allow you old timers to stay in touch here are
your email address's, at least the ones that you asked me to include. |
 |
At least ninety-nine percent of
you owe me an email with some news, no matter how insignificant you may
feel that it is, that I can publish. That's the price of inclusion,
cheaper that the Times. |
 |
Also, please check that the email address linked to
your name is correct and if not, let me know the correct one. It's all to
easy to forget to update. |
